Anonymous wants to overthrow the government of the United States and they want us to help them. I am frustrated with our government and acknowledge that change is needed, that is why I worked for the Bernie Sanders campaign and have championed other such movements in the past and will stand for those in the future.

I am reminded of a song by The Who, “Won’t get fooled again” the lyrics, “Meet the new boss… Same as the old boss” ring in my ears. That song points to the issue and the line says it all.

Who are Anonymous? They say that Anonymous is me, and you, and everyone, we the people, but I was not in the video. Specifically who will be running our government if they are successful in their attempt to overthrow the existing one? They make good points and they “appear” to be on the same side with similar values as I but how do I know that? They are anonymous after all.

I have looked into them and agree with much of their stated purpose and I like what they have done to date, but now they are declaring war and that brings things to a new level. War is not anonymous, war is real, it is in your face and the ramifications are drastic. I don’t want to trade one tyrant for another no matter what words are used to justify the action.

What fate do they intend for the people they determine were part of the problems of the old government once they win? Do they want to institute a system of justice as our constitution outlines or will they simply start lining up the people who they perceive and being opposed to their new world order and start shooting? These are important considerations and I don’t KNOW the answer. To assume you know the answer for a fact may be naïve. It is one thing to believe in something and quite another to know it.

We scoff at the people who “know” that Obama is a Muslim and not born in the United States of America because we realize they only believe that to be the case.  We cannot understand why they will not change their minds even when faced with proof. Please do not be as those people; believing the words of a group because they happen to use words which make sense.  Before you commit your life to their cause do the research; especially when they are declaring war and asking you to join them. Once a war is declared I no longer accept believing in the group I want to know who they are, I want to know what they plan to do, and I want to know their plan after they have done that.

This country was founded by people who claimed to be for the people but keep in mind that they were the ones who got to define who were people and who were not. Were they for people of color? No or slavery of the black race would not have been allowed. No or the native people would not have been massacred in groves. Were they for the poor, no or slavery of the Irish would not have been allowed. Were they for woman, no or woman would have had the vote. The list goes on, “people” to them meant while male adults of means.

The cause of much of the discord today is the fact that we are not living up to our understanding of the constitution and amendments which means that “the people” seem to like the ideas and ideals of those documents. If that is what people actually want, the Shangri-La as it were, then that should be our goal. With that in mind any new government would have to live up to those standards and we should be fighting toward that end. I do understand that our current government is not doing that but what guarantee is there that a new one would?  If I am to take arms against others then I want to know the structure of government I am fighting for. Am I really fighting for those objectives or am I fighting for a different group who want control.

What tools will Anonymous use to overthrow the government; I doubt there are enough arms available to accomplish that in a traditional military style action, so what type of war will they wage? As I see things the action would have to be a cyber war designed to collapse the economic structure or some similar action.   I would have to know what their plan is to rebuild a nation based on the constitution and which interpretation of that would be used; that plan would have to fit into a structure I would support, a democratic structure. What will their exit strategy be?

A sudden collapse of our economic structure would leave the world in anarchy and we would most likely end up with many small war lords controlling various areas of the globe including the then former United States, each at war with one another.  We could see a macrocosmic image of the war in Iraq where there was no exit strategy and those in power could not deliver the basic necessities of life to the people. I want change, but not just change for the sake of change. I’d love to see the plan.

While I am on the music theme here I am reminded of the Beatles Revolution and the line, “But if you want money for people with minds that hate… All I can tell you is brother you have to wait” I am not ready to give up on peace. I am willing to stand united against big brother as Gandhi, Dr. King, Tank Man (the unknown protester run over by a tank during the Tiananmen Square protests), our brothers and sisters at Standing Rock, and others have done. I am willing to trade my life for the future of my children, my grandchildren, and your relations as well but I am unwilling to take another life to accomplish an ambiguous goal by anonymous people. I’d love to see the plan.

I do not believe it is time for war; war is not my goal and would serve no purpose for me. In my universe a declaration of war at this time is pre mature. Taking a life is not easy to do and certainly not something easily lived with; once the life has been taken it cannot be put back.

Just as I believe you cannot teach a child not to hit others by spanking the child I do not believe we can teach humankind to find world peace and justice through war. As I see it the outcome of war is more violence. Once it becomes easy to kill it becomes who you are and it takes a lot to overcome that. I believe war to be one of the main contributors to addition, domestic violence, suicide, mental illness and much more of what we would call violence. People return from war changed and they impose those changed behaviors on those around them and much of that imposition is of a violent nature.  Their children grow up with violence and the trend continues.  Many generations later we can no longer identify that war was the initial cause of the trend.

I think the change must begin within the heart and mind of each individual, we must learn to put aside our differences. Evolution of the soul is the internal war of choice, I struggle with that one often but I see the value in the goal and have a purpose for that so I continue to challenge my inner demons and strive for peace and justice within so I may demonstrate that outside these bodily walls.

I believe in democracy and that we can make a difference with our hearts, our minds, our words, and by standing together in peace. I suggest that there is NO QUICK FIX for any of this because the changes we rage for in the world are ones we must learn to institute within our self. If there is an overthrow of our government or not the inner war must be fought and won before any of us will find peace and allow justice.

These are my thoughts and I understand that many will not agree with me but I only speak for myself and work toward my evolution into a true human being. I am no anarchist, am not a communist, I gravitate toward being what we call a Democratic Socialist. I am spirit more than body and I believe that by following an inner path I may find peace. As I have not found that to date I cannot state that I know the path but I have discovered some of that and through those discoveries I have strengthened my belief. I actually believe that PEACE IS THE ANSWER so all I am saying is to give peace a chance.
