This is my first post on my new blog.  The purpose of this blog is to express my thoughts and ideas on various topics which I feel are important. Some of what I have to say is universal while other thoughts may be about specific events taking place in the world.

Some of the topics i expect to cover in this are.

• Metaphysics and Spirituality
  • I may not give lessons in the various topics but my writings will be strongly influenced by my background in Metaphysics.
  • I have studied the science of the mind for years gaining from formal training and through my life experiences.
    • In my earlier life i was a teacher
    • I have given many lectures on topics of dream interpretation, meditation, healing and more.
    • I have been a guest speaker on radio shows exploring topics of the Mind
    • I have developed and presented seminars and workshops for the general public
    • Much more
    • I was heavily involved in publishing a magazine for the advancement of Metaphysical ideas.
    • I later because the Director of a school where we taught Metaphysics.
  • From the point where my formal education and teaching ended I have continued to grow in my understanding of the mind and how that applies to life.
    • I have applied the ideas and ideals of my teaching in my life.
      • This is where the real education has come to bear fruit for me and why I feel that I have something to offer through my writings.
      • It is not the intellectual knowledge which I find most helpful to others, rather the experiences i can pass along to others and apply to their situation.
• Politics and government
  • I have had limited experience with politics from a behind the scene perspective.
    • i have worked in government on various levels from local municipal upward.
    • I have contracted with government organizations in need of my analytical services.
  • I have done much research both formally and independent.
    • I worked as a researcher and fact checker for a research foundation which reported on various topics of government.
    • I have been involved in editing and publishing documents and news letters on various topics, offering government oversight to those who wished to know.
    • I have been called upon to give public addresses on various topics of politics.
    • I am constantly researching as much information as I can on topics of interest to me.
• Society and Social living
  • In this area I only have my observations and experiences to share but many people have told me that I have much to offer in this area and so I continue to express my values, thoughts, and ideas for those who wish to listen.
  • I have traveled to areas of the world to learn how other societies live and adjust.
    •  I would like to do much more
    • There is a word of opportunity for me to learn and grow.
• Humor
  • none of the rest makes sense without this one.
  • Some think I have a great sense of humor
    • The rest of the people just groan and ignore me.
• Music
  • While not a musician I do have express my thoughts on music in general and the Rhythm of life which is woven together in the music.
    • I consider myself to be a percussionist but not a musician.
  • All cultures have some form of music and most start with Drumming and Rhythm.
  • I have a great interest in exploring and ;learning more about music and the effect it has on culture and society as i progress in life.
    • As I learn more I will pass it along here.
• History
  • At one time I wanted to become a History teacher, not because I loved the teaching methods being used rather because I thought there was a better way to teach.
  • History is a boring subject for most of us including me.
    • As i have grown in other areas of life I have found that History is one of the best tools to use in attempting to make senses of and understand our world.
  • I learned that to be a history teacher one must use the teaching methods of the time which is not for me.
• Economics
  • I was a Financial Adviser for two of the largest financial organizations in the United States.
    • I became a Manager later in that endeavor Hiring, training and managing many agents.
    • I was the Pension Specialist for my region
    • I was an estate planner for some time as well.
  • This background gives me an advantage in the ability to see some of the issues we all face today from different perspectives and I believe that I have some important offerings along theses lines.

The above are some of the areas of influence you might expect to find threaded throughout my writings.  I may never formally cover any one of them yet I am sure they will all play a role in my expressions.

My intent here is not to pat myself on the back nor to appear as some type of expert in any arena.  It is that point exactly which may give my writings meaning.  I will write on topics I have great knowledge of and those where I do not.  As I see it there is always room to grow and if I have learned anything about being a teacher it is this.  As you teach so do you learn.  I had much intellectual information on life but it was not until I began to teach that I began to really learn.  I always reserve the right to be wrong and will express truth as I see it at the time.

I am learning how to use WordPress and this blog and am not totally aware of the capabilities at this time.  i am excited to begin this process and adventure in to self expression and learning.
