Will there be one?

There may not be an election.  Trump has no authority to suspend or delay the election but Congress does.  If The Administration and associates can convince the congress to do so then we will have no election and Trump remains President.

Even if there is an election it may not be fair or accurate

Another aspect is that if they do not suspend, cancel, or otherwise halt the election they may limit our ability to vote in the election.   States can close voting polls in “congested” (democratIC) areas and not allow people to vote there while allowing rural areas (Trump Supporters) which are less congested to vote openly.

The US Postal Service could be allowed to fail; then there is no mail and consequently not mail-in voting.  During the pandemic mail-in voting may be the only avenue to vote in congested areas.

Trump does NOT want to fund the Postal Service; he says it is because of the deal Amazon gets for shipping.  I believe that only a small portion of Amazon packages ship through the Postal service and they deserve a bulk discount just as other businesses receive.  Trump is interested in harming the postal service for one reason, mail in votes.  Support the Postal Service, send mail, buy stamps; make sure there is a vehicle to support mail in ballots.  Do NOT allow Trump to destroy our Postal Service.

Will he leave office?

If there is an election and Trump is not the winner then the question is, “Will Trump comply with a peaceful transfer of power?”  I believe the answer is NO.

This is the most concerning thing for me right now, more than the virus, more than replacing him, and more than the economy.  He is showing us now what it will look like.  Those protesters he has rallied into a frenzy who are carrying guns, remember them?  We have armed protesters in the street for a reason, these are not idiots. (Some are idiots but they are being led by those who are not)  Those guns are not there to shoot the virus; they are there to give us a message about the election.  They are there on purpose.  As we fret about the pandemic and are solely focused on that the Administration is replacing key government personnel with loyalists who are not qualified for the job but who will support Trump when the election does not go his way.  Call me paranoid but do not dismiss the possibility.

Trump will claim fake news and say the elections were rigged by Puerto Rico or some equally fantastic lie and will call upon his troops to liberate the country.  He will throw a temper tantrum, and may try to nationalize the National Guard.  The man is insane and will do anything to stay in power, he wants ULTIMATE POWER.

YOU MUST HAVE A VOICE.  You must stand against what Trump is doing; he must be stopped and if no one is focused on his actions and only on his stupidity and “wag the dog” statements then he can continue with his plan  to overthrow our DemocratIC society.
